Kyla Brettle and Rob Law live on different creeks in the same small town and share an interest in sound, music, story and climate change.
Endgame was created to give space to the local stories we were hearing about climate and environment, and to sound our own coming to terms with this rapidly changing world. The project started in 2020 as an experimental story site for short, exploratory soundworks about climate from ‘the inside’, these came together 2021 as the feature length podcast about our country town called ‘Close to home’. The Podcast and project has received international recognition and has been supported by ADAPT Loddon Mallee and Mount Alexander Shire’s Get Lost.
Endgame continues to home to our soundwork and podcasting about climate and place. Kyla has produced a climate adaptation podcast for SBS Audio called Everything we Need and presented the soundwork Taking Root as a local listen-in, with music by Rob. Additionally, Rob has produced Creek Kids, a children’s podcast and a geo-locative Soundwalk along Campbells Creek.
